Welcome
A little about Mrs. Priest
,As I have lived my life, I have found that there is a time for everything. As I live through the seasons of my life, this verse means more to me as I experience the meaning of the words and as my own children live and grow and learn about life. One of my favorite bible verses is Ecclesiastes 3:1
Favorite children's book: Too Many Pumpkins and books by Wanda Brunstetter
I love to read Too Many Pumpkins by Linda White to every class that I have taught, as well as my own children. Pumpkins everywhere!
I have recently started reading books about the Amish. I find the simpler lifestyle and learning the cultural differences very interesting. My favorite author of these books is Wanda Brunstetter.
Favorite Christian song: On Eagles Wings, They'll Know We Are Christians By Our Love, and I Can Only
Imagine
I remember when I sang in the church choir, I could never finish singing "On Eagles Wings" – I would always be in tears. Again, "I Can Only Imagine" does the same thing. This song touches me to the core and completely fills me spiritually.
Who is Kim Priest?
*Teaching is my second career. I also have a degree in Communication. I have worked as the Division Director of Northeast Indiana for the March of Dimes and a planner at NorthAmerican Van Lines.
*I always dreamed of being a teacher, but did not go back to school for my teaching degree until my daughters were all in school.
*I received my Colloquy from Concordia River Forest in 2012.
*I have been married for 29 years to my husband, Dave.
*We have 3 grown daughters. Jordan is a probation officer and lives in Indianapolis. Chloe works as a dental assistant for a local dentist and was married in 2015. Our youngest, Abby, just got married this year and is completing her education degree at PFW in December.
*I love being a grandma! Hudson Daniel was born in September 2016, and Parker David was born in February of 2019. Both are such a joy!
*My husband and I have a schnauzer named Bella Mae. Bella is full of energy! (She is also terrified of thunderstorms!)
